The second of our seven energy centres is called the Sacral Chakra or also known as the svadhisthana (in Sanskrit). It can be located in the area of your lumbar spine, in the centre of your lower belly and back, just below the navel. Its corresponding organs are the genitals. So, it plays an active involvement in your sexuality, sexual expression (i.e. sexual desire, sexual behavior) and sensuality (awareness of one's senses). Moreover, it is also associated with creativity. If the energy centre is in balance, we are in harmony and feel comfortable with ourselves and the world around us. Symptoms for an unbalanced sacral chakra can be kidney or bladder issues, impotence, chronic lower back pain and other lower abdominal problems. However, what can you do to bring it back to balance? There are several possibilities. Methods include positive affirmations, creative work such as drawing or painting, nature walks, doing yoga (asana postures like Reverse Warrior Pose or Goddess Pose) or listening to 417 Hz frequency.
